Language Configuration - 905
Configuration Guide
Multiple languages are available for selection and configuration in VimBiz. Language selection is done using Change My Language.
Language Configuration is divided into two parts:
- Label Translations
- Examples: labels, buttons, menus, and tooltips.
- User Data Translations
- Examples: statuses, types, categories, roles, and skills.
*See form tooltips for additional information.
Manage Lexicon Translations and Manage All Translations forms allow administrators to translate label text such as labels, buttons, menus, and tooltips.
There are 10 languages available: English, Danish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Custom.
Manage Lexicon Translations includes the following features not found in Manage All Translations:
- Advanced Filters
- History
- References
Translatable Tables (Data)
Translatable Tables (Data) allows administrators to translate user data such as statuses, types, categories, roles, and skills.
A maximum of 4 languages can be used by a company at one time.
The 4 languages are stored into columns named: Lang_En, Lang_Fr, Lang_C1, Lang_C2.
Manage Languages
Manage Languages allows administrators to configure which 4 languages will be used.
Example Configuration
CompanyX supports 3 languages: English, French, and Spanish. English and French are set to Lang_En and Lang_Fr by default. The administrator sets Lang_C1 to Spanish.
With this configuration, when Spanish language users edit user data text, changes will be saved to Lang_C1 and not overwrite other languages.
Note: English Lang_En is the base VimBiz language and can not be edited with Direct Translations.
